The association is looking forward to achieving
the following in the near future:
• Achieving a database for every deaf person in
all the governorates of the Gaza Strip.
• Teaching sign language to help the deaf learn
and join the society.
• Establish a unique sign language dictionary in
Palestine (book & video)
• Educational activity to make the deaf aware of
their civil rights and their importance in
society (e.g. education, marriage and other
civil rights).
• Holding summer camps for the deaf.
• Holding intensive computer courses for deaf
adults
• Arrange deaf Palestinian conferences to
discuss their problems & needs all over
Palestine.
• Organize literacy training projects for deaf
adults (males & females)
• Establishing vocational training and
employment programs for the deaf such as
(bakery, sewing factories, different courses
(Plaster, Painting, building, aluminum, car
repairing).
• Arranging different courses for deaf women
such as (Arts, make-up, hairdressing and
cooking).
• Establishing a procedure of communication
between the deaf and their families through
regular meetings.
• Holding educational activities on the
Palestinian television on a weekly basis for the
deaf. In addition to this the translation of
many television programs.
• Improving the acting & clowning skills of the
deaf, as well as forming acting groups.
Establishing a general union for the deaf in
Palestine.
